Don't Miss A Thing!

**** I have a tendency to write several blog posts in one sitting. I like to think of it as time management when I have a big block of time to sit down and get caught up. If you check in on the blog from time to time... be sure to scroll down, and you may have to even click onto the next page to be sure you've gotten all the latest Ramsey news. (Blogger has restricted the number of posts I can have on the first page, so I never know what exactly is coming up). Thanks for checking in with us, and following along on Our Great Life Adventure! ****

Special Visits...

One of the best perks and a big incentive for moving to Texas was the proximity we would be to some familiar faces. Chad's parents both grew up in Bryan-College Station and his dad was an Aggie (for you northerners that don't know... graduates from Texas A&M are proud Aggie Alumni, and A&M is in College Station). Chad's paternal grandmother, aunts, uncles (from his mom and dad's side of the family) and some cousins live there. It's just a 90 minute drive from where we live so we've made two day trips up to visit with family. We were treated to good conversation, plenty of fun attention for our kids, and full bellies from good meals. Thanks to everyone for inviting us to spend the afternoon with you! I look forward to doing it again soon!
The first trip we took to Chad's Aunt Beverly and Uncle Rick (his dad's sister and brother-in-law). The kids also got to see Great Grandma Ramsey and meet her husband, Fred.

Vivian Irene... meet Great Grandma Doris Irene!

Aunt Bev and Viv

I don't know what is going on with Vivian's hair. I should have been paying attention to the randomness, but I wasn't. Bad Mom moment.

Cousin Melinda and Uncle Rick entertain Braden with some coloring. Although Braden wasn't really playing fair... Big B was in Aggie land and actually grabbed a burnt orange colored crayon and colored the "longhorns" on a bull in the coloring book. It was completely unprompted and total coincidence. (The Texas Longhorns are NOT friends of the A&M Aggies!)

Braden thought Uncle Rick was a hoot! Here Rick "tortures" Big B with tickles. But is it really "torture" when the subject is begging for it? :)
Two friends... gossiping and having a little one on one conversation.

Another Sunday a few weeks later we visited with Chad's aunt and uncle (his mom's sister and brother-in-law). Their daughter (and Chad's first cousin), Sabrina and her fiance, Scott were in visiting from Dallas.

Aunt Carmen kept up with Braden, and all his extra energy at a nearby park. He had a lot of fun with her!

I think Scott looks pretty good with a baby in his hands...
